Claire + Brandon celebrated together with friends and family along the shores of Lake Michigan in September. Although wedding colors for fall tend to be deeper hues of reds, purples, and golds, this couple chose to soften it up a bit. Claire + Brandon’s wedding colors were a palate of muted tones – blush, gray, dusty pinks, and accents of gold. With an understated color scheme, they were able to work these shades into almost every aspect of their wedding day.
Simple elegance defines these wedding invitations. From the gray tones, simple font, and accents of blush, they are a perfect representation of the wedding style and wedding colors guests could look forward to. Also note – those killer shoes sneaking into the pic!
Wedding party attire can be a great way to incorporate your wedding colors. Brandon and his guys wore navy and gray suits with blush ties – and they rocked them! Bridesmaids were outfitted in dresses of gold, gray, and soft hues of purple. Mixing up bridesmaid dress styles and colors adds interest to photos and also gives your ladies a chance to represent their own style. And although Claire’s dress was the traditional white, we just can’t talk about attire without mentioning her dress. Both the bride and the dress are just too beautiful for words (sigh…).
For the most part, Claire and Brandon kept their wedding decor simple but so very elegant. Wedding colors were worked into the decor with gold pedestal bowls holding white and dusty pink florals and a touch of greenery. Gray napkins complimented the thank you notes and menus that accompanied each place setting. Gold accents were also found in the ceremony decor, the sweetheart table decor, and even their beaming “golden” retriever (sorry, couldn’t help myself there).

Not only were Claire + Brandon amazing at working their wedding colors into their total wedding story, but they had a whole host of other amazing details to make their wedding truly an awesome experience for guests and truly reflective of their style.
The ceremony took place on The Veranda Rooftop overlooking Lake Michigan. It featured a gold/copper arch and florals as their focal point. 6 bridesmaids and 6 groomsmen stood beside them along with their furry friend. Guests enjoyed pre-ceremony beverages on the rooftop before the vows.
After the ceremony ended guests headed back downstairs for cocktail hour with passed appetizers and their signature drink, a Tennessee Mule. A champagne toast kicked off dinner served family style while cake cutting and access to a cookie table signaled dinner’s end. Guests danced under strings of cafe bulbs and draped white fabric. A Poloroid table and a late night snack kept everyone happy and engaged right up to the end.
Claire + Brandon could not have been more wonderful to work with! Day-of Coordination Services with 1928 Planning Co. kept them on track through the process and their amazing style made this a wedding to remember. Brandon was even kind enough to talk with an engaged couple looking at The Veranda and share their experiences and Claire participated in a post we published about our season wrap up. She summed up their day with the three words: Blissful, Fun, Personal. We wish them all the best!
