We are so excited to be sharing the details of Dan + Crystals’ wedding reception with you! Soft wedding lighting created by paper lanterns and paper bag luminaries was just what this slightly rainy day needed. This stylish couple with eclectic style made some great choices to warm up our already beautiful Veranda!
Wedding lighting is one of the ways to really set your outdoor wedding reception apart. Paper lanterns and paper bag luminaries provide a nice, vintage wedding flair.
The color palette that Dan + Crystal chose was bright orange, green, and yellow with touches of a peacock-like turquoise in the most unexpected places (like the groom’s killer shoes!). And with the fog that seemed to hang in the air most of the day – the paper lanterns with those same bright colors along with the paper bag luminaries on the walkway were just enough wedding lighting to fight off any hint of bad weather.
Another one of my favorite things about this outdoor wedding reception; their photographer Craig Watson Photography. Let me tell you, this guy did his research before shooting his first wedding with us. In doing so, he uncovered a perfect photo opp for the unique style of Dan + Crystal. They were able to capture some artistic photos in the old Whitcomb Hotel that ended up being the perfect backdrop for their first glance! Be sure to check out the full gallery here!
Add in a wedding surrey ride through quaint downtown St. Joseph and the picture perfect spots are immeasurable! Dan + Crystal, you were such a laid-back couple! Thank you for sharing your amazing style and wedding day with us!
